Nancy Elizabeth Saunders Cagle

Star - Nancy Elizabeth Saunders Cagle, age 74, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at Autumn Care Nursing & Rehabilitation in Biscoe. Mrs. Cagle was born in Montgomery County on September 23, 1945 to Lemley Hayes and Channie Mae Cagle Saunders. She was a case worker for Monarch. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Calvin Cagle and sister, Doris Lee Williams. She is survived by her daughter, Amy Cagle of Star; son, Ted Cagle and wife, Sherri of Star; sisters, Ruby Epps of Star, Mary Harris and husband, Barry of Candor, Judy Saunders of Seagrove, and Linda Maness and husband, Jerry of Troy; grandchildren, Nicholas and Tyler Cagle, Mia Coronel and Alaina Andrade. Her body will lie in state from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m., Thursday, August 13 and from 8:00 – 9:30 a.m., on Friday, August 14, at Phillips Funeral Home in Star. A graveside service will begin at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 14, at Callicutt Chapel Wesleyan Church with the Rev. Grant Hoffman officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Center Cross Baptist Church, 1789 Center Cross Church Rd., Asheboro, NC 27205. Online condolences may be left at www.phillipsfh.com.
