Star - Nova Lou Saunders Owens, 82, of 4374 NC Hwy 134 N, died Tuesday, September 21, 2010, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital. A graveside service will be held at 11 AM, September 24, 2010, at Grace Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. Lonnie Gibson officiating. She was a native of Montgomery County and was a homemaker. She was predeceased by her husband, Dameron Lee Owens. She is survived by her son, Dempsey Lee Owens, Sr. and wife, Jackie, of Star; daughter, Dorothy Ann Auman, of Randolph County; brothers, Edgar G. Saunders of Star, R. L. Saunders and wife, Linda, of Robbins,Tracy H. Saunders of Troy; grandchildren, Dempsey Lee Owens, Jr. and wife, Pamela, of Star, Donna Owens Moore and husband, Roy, David Earl Auman, Jr. of Hoffman; great-granddaughter, Miranda Leigh Owens, of Star. The family will receive friends from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM, Thursday, September 23, 2010, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star and other times at the home of Dempsey and Jackie Owens, 4443 NC Hwy 134 N, Star, NC 27356.
