Omar Romero Merida

Star - Omar Romero Merida, age 22, passed away Friday, November 27, 2020, as a result of an automobile accident. Omar was born in Orange County on May 12, 1998 to Daniel Salgado Reza and Esperanza Merida Juarez. He was employed as a framer in local frame shops. He is survived by his daughter, Adalyn Joy Soto and son, Damian Merida Soto, both of Candor; father, Daniel Salgado Reza and mother, Esperanza Merida Juarez, both of Candor; sisters, Mayra Merida of High Point, Daniela Salgado of Star and Yamilet Romero Merida of Eden; and brothers, Daniel Cruz of Star and Luis Salgado of Candor. Omar's body will lie in repose from 12:00 - 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 2, and from 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 3, at Phillips Funeral Home. A graveside service will begin at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 3, at Biscoe Cemetery with Father Ricardo F. Sanchez officiating. Online condolences may be left at www.phillips.com.
