STAR - Mr. Otha James, 96, formerly of 767 McBride Lumber Road, Star, NC, died Monday, January 13, 2014 at Autumn Care of Biscoe.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 16, at White Oak Springs Primitive Baptist Church with Elder David Hogan officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. James was born in Stokes County to Luz and Daisy Mabe James. He was a fixer at Clayson Knitting Co. and was a member of White Oak Springs Primitive Baptist Church.
Surviving are his daughter, Janice Bulla of Asheboro; brothers, Robert James (Leatrice) of Ether, Marion James of Madison, Bailey James of Thomasville; sister, Addie Southern of Winston Salem; grandchildren, Kenneth Scott Bulla, Tammy Bulla Matthews (Kenneth), Lori Bulla George (Chris); great-grandchildren, Amanda Phillips, Brittney George, Mallory George, Chloe Bulla, Donna Bulla; great-great-grandchildren, Luke Phillips and Camden Campbell.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Wednesday, January 15, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.
