Ottie Cooper Boone

Mrs. Ottie Cooper Boone, 96, formerly of Seagrove, died Friday, November 4, 2016 at Randolph Hospice House.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, November 6, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ralph Voncannon officiating. Interment will be in Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Boone was born in Montgomery County to John Barnum and Verna Lee Davis Cooper. She was a former textile employee and a member of Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Boone was predeceased by her brother, Thomas Cooper, and sisters, Ethel C. Saunders and Gladys C. Cole.

Surviving are her brother, Neal D. Cooper (Dorothy) of Asheboro; sister, Essie Cooper Mashburn of Star; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM - 1:45 PM, Sunday, November 6, 2016, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.
