Biscoe - Pamela Kay Sheffield Saunders, 58, of 146 Jackson Drive, died Monday, August 12, 2013, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM, Wednesday, August 14, 2013, at First Baptist Church, Biscoe with the Rev. Larry Wilson and Rev. Josh Holder officiating. Interment will be in Biscoe Cemetery. Mrs. Saunders was born in Montgomery County to Carl Junior and Mildred Christine Greene Sheffield. She was a former hosiery mill employee. She is survived by her husband, Gary F. Saunders, of the home; sons, Timothy Smith (Enchanting), of Mt. Gilead, Brian Smith (Kasey), of Weston, West Virginia; step-daughter, Catherine Hadley, of Raleigh; sisters, Pat Smith (Bill) of Biscoe, Betty Mashburn (J. R.) of Star, Wendy Nooe (Roger) of Robbins; brothers, Richard Sheffield (Magdalene), of Star, Roger Sheffield, of Star; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild. The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM, Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star and other times at the home.
