Parker Lee Britt

Parker L. Britt, Sr. Star - Parker Lee Britt, Sr., age 72, of 196 Britt Road, died Wednesday, January 21, 2009, at his residence. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 23, 2009, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Star with the Rev. Hubert McLeod officiating. Burial will follow in the Britt Family Cemetery. Mr. Britt was born in Moore County on March 4, 1936, to the late William Parker "Son" and Mabel Lee Maness Britt. He was a truckdriver/farmer. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Ira (Bobo), Glenn Ray, Garry, Larry, and two sisters, Betty Lou Davis, Bobbie Sue Williams. He is survived by his wife, Lucille Puckett Britt, of the home; son, Parker Lee Britt, Jr., and wife, Wanda, of Star; daughters, Donna Britt Hussey, and husband, Tommy, of Robbins, Gena Britt Tew, and husband, Tim, of Clinton; four grandsons, William Parker Britt II, Brandon Lee Britt, Johnny "Boomer" Hussey, Jeremiah Hussey; four granddaughters, Jessica Hussey, Amanda Britt, Jaylyn Tew, Dalsyn Tew; one great-granddaughter, Ellie Hussey. Memorials may be made to FirstHealth Hospice Foundation, 150 Applecross Road, Pinehurst, NC 28374. The family is being served by Phillips Funeral Home in Star.
