Troy - Paul Lee Hurley, age 86, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at Autumn Care Nursing & Rehabilitation in Biscoe.
Mr. Hurley was born in Randolph County on November 27, 1932, to Gurney A. and Lillie Lynthacum Hurley. He was a veteran of the US Navy and was the owner of Hurley's Ornamental Iron Shops.
He is survived by his wife, Amy Davis Hurley, of the home; daughter, Evelyn Hurley of Albemarle; sons, Harold Hurley of Troy, Gary Hurley and wife, Gloria, of Troy, and David Hurley of Albemarle; sister, Frances Callicutt, of Asheboro; grandchildren, Chad Hurley, Daniel and Corey Hurley, Aaron and Sam Hurley, Adam Barringer, Amanda Loflin, and Katie Barringer; great-grandchildren, Cole Hurley, Bella Hurley, Jase Loflin, and Ariana Stirewalt.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Saturday, February 16, at Phillips Funeral Home in Star.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 17, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Troy with Rev. Rodney Holmes and Rev. Ben Hall officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery in Asheboro.
