Ava M. Cain Biscoe - Pearlie Ava Moore Myrick Cain, age 87, formerly of 209 Hyde Street, died Saturday, February 21, 2009, at Autumn Care of Biscoe. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2009, at New Hope Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Gene Davis, Rev. Fred Richardson, and Rev. Larry Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. Mrs. Cain was born in Moore County to the late James W. and Elva Moore Moore. She operated Ava's Produce in Candor. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Roy Lee Myrick, Sr. and David Thomas Cain, Sr., brothers, Paul Moore, Worthy Moore, Gonsalee Moore, and grandson, Carl Wayne Luck. She is survived by her daughters, Thelma Luck of Jackson Springs, Sarah Pat Davis and husband, Joe, of Ether, Gail Hinesley and husband, Larry, of Asheboro; sons, Jesse Myrick, and wife, Wanda, of Asheboro, Wayne Myrick, and wife, Janet, of York, SC, Grady Myrick of Candor, Billy Myrick of Biscoe, David Cain, Jr. and wife, Alisa, of Candor; step-daughters, Norma Arthur and husband, David, of Randleman, Jo Nelson and husband, Ken, of High Point; 33 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2009, at Phillips Funeral Home in Star and other times at the homes of Billy Myrick, Hyde Street, Biscoe and Grady Myrick, 375 McCallum Pond Road, Candor.
