Mt. Gilead - Phil Brantley Henley, 70, of Jubal Reeves Circle in Woodrun, died Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at his residence.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 5, 2015, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Bob Dean officiating. Interment will be in Biscoe Cemetery.
Phil was born in Montgomery County to Woodrow Wilson and Bernice Elaine Johnson Henley. Before retiring, he was an inspector for Montgomery County for 28 years and was a member of Troy Civitian Club.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Peterson Henley, of the home; sons, Jeff Henley (Cathy) of Mt. Gilead, Matt Henley (Jill) of Mint Hill; daughters, Teona Powell (Pete) of Troy, Trina Spinneweber (Carl) of Butler, PA; brothers, Roy J. Henley, of Biscoe, Jerry D. Henley (Linda) of Star, Charles Davis (Sherry) of High Point; 10 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Friday, September 4, 2015, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.
