R. Darrell Bennett

Biscoe - Russell Darrell Bennett, age 52, passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2019, at FirstHealth Hospice And Palliative Care in Pinehurst.

Darrell was born in Richmond County on April 25, 1966, to Russell Jones and Pearl Joyce Blackmon Bennett. He was employed as a cook.

He is survived by sisters, Vickie Freeman and husband, Raymond, of Eagle Springs, Sherry Bennett of Biscoe, Cindy Bennett of Biscoe and Janet Deaton and husband, Ray, of Star; brother, David Bennett of Biscoe; half-brother, Dewayne English and wife, Connie, of Albemarle; step-father, Wilburn McLeod, of Biscoe.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at Phillips Funeral Home in Star.

The funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Patrick Robinson officiating. Interment will be in Biscoe Cemetery.
