Eagle Springs - Reid Freeman, age 81, passed away Monday, February 17, 2020, at his home.
Mr. Freeman was born in Moore County on October 22, 1938, to Raymond Edgar and Gladys Ruth Bailey Freeman. He was a graduate of West End High School, lifelong farmer, and worked for McDonald Brother's for 25 years. He attended Big Oak Christian Church and was a member of Yellow Rockers Square Dance Club for more than 30 years.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Louisa Puckett Freeman of the home; daughters, Sandy Freeman Johnson and husband, Rodney, of Randleman and Tammy Freeman Julian and fiancée, Eddie, of Whispering Pines; sisters, Audrey Myrick and husband, Eugene, of Biscoe and Pam Maness of Biscoe; brothers, Ronald Freeman and wife, Sue, of Charlotte, Ricky B. Freeman of Star, and Raymond Freeman of Biscoe; four granddaughters; and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 - 1:45 p.m., Thursday, February 20, at Big Oak Christian Church.
The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. James Quesinberry and Rev. Larry Tyler officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
