Ronald Dean Blake

Ronald Dean Blake, 59, of Star, died Friday, April 17, 2015 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, April 21, at Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church, 445 Mt. Zion Church Road, Seagrove with the Rev. Andrew Hurlburt officiating. Military rites will be provided by Randolph Honor Guard. Mr. Blake was born to Rayvon and Virginia Sneed Blake. He was a US Navy veteran, a construction supervisor with Hamlett Associates, and a detention officer for Montgomery County Jail. Surviving are his wife, Sandra Love Blake, of the home; daughter, Emily Blake of Concord; son, Adam Blake (Amanda) of Star; sister, Christy Myrick (Kevin) of Biscoe; brother, Mike Blake (Karen) of Chesapeake, VA; granddaughter, Amelia Blake; and, expected grandson due on July 4, 2015. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Monday, April 20, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.
