Roy Inzer Beane, 85, was placed into his Lord and Savior's loving arms by the merciful angels on Friday Morning April, 23, 2010 at Clapps Convalescent Nursing Home in Asheboro, NC surrounded by his family.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday April 26, 2010 at 4pm at Big Oak Church of God with the Reverend David Hatcher and Reverend Earl Ward officiating. Burial will follow at the Beane Family Cemetery.

Roy was born April 22, 1925 in Greensboro, NC to Inzer Beane and Ella Lucas Beane. He has 6 sisters and 2 brothers. He married his beloved wife Ruby Beane of 67 years in 1943 and together they raised 8 children and have been blessed over the years with 20 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 9 great great grandchildren. Roy was and will always be the greatest husband, daddy and grandpa in the world.

He lived in Montgomery County and retired from Lucks Inc after 20 years. Roy loved God and his family first and foremost throughout his life. He also enjoyed hunting with his beagles, feeding his cows and other animals, shopping at Wal-Mart and watching wrestling on TV. He had a great sense of humor he was always entertaining others by dancing, singing, joking and clowning around and making people laugh . He loved to eat fresh blackberries and peaches. The greatest legacy that Roy leaves behind is his passion for music. He was a self taught Mandolin player and Bluegrass gospel singer.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents Inzer Beane and Ella Lucas Beane. Also, one brother Edward Beane and one sister Beulah Hiatt and one grandchild Steven Wayne Honeycutt Jr.

Roy is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Ruby Beane of the home. Seven Daughters: Ella Mae Smith of Seagrove, Nancy Kern of Asheboro, NC, Virginia Burns of Star, NC; Rachel Beane of Asheboro, NC; Martha Ward of Star, NC; Susie Hudson of Asheboro, NC; Joyce McClain of Star, NC and one son Ray Beane of Star, NC. 19 Grandchildren: Tammy King Asheboro, NC; Donna Sechrest Star, NC, Lisa King Asheboro, NC; Julie Freeman Asheboro, NC; Johnny Hunsucker Asheboro, NC; Scotty Hunsucker Star, NC; Debbie Smith Burlington, NC; Michelle Luther Asheboro, NC; SPC Donnie Lee Hunsucker Jr, New York; Tina Davis Asheboro, NC; Odia Burns Star, NC; Kenny Hudson, Asheboro, NC; James Burns Arizona; Melissa Smith, Seagrove, NC; Lauren Hudson, Greensboro, NC; Jessica Beane, Star, NC; Rebecca Beane, Star, NC; Caleb Beane, Star, NC and Zachery Beane, Star, NC. 23 great grandchildren, and 9 great great grandchildren. He is also survived by five sisters Lora Lowery of Arizona, Ester Garren of Asheboro, NC; Effie Auman of Star, NC; Thelma Carrick of Asheboro, NC; Treva Harkness of Asheboro, NC and One Brother Sherman Beane of Asheboro, NC.

The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at Clapps Convelescent Nursing Home of Asheboro, NC.

Roy Beane will be greatly missed by family and friends but his laughter and passion for music will forever live through in the hearts of his children and family.
