Ruby L. Orr Candor - Ruby Lee Burroughs Orr, 74, of 1583 Currie Road, died Sunday, October 26, 2008, at Sandy Ridge Assisted Living in Candor. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2008, at Community Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Fred Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. She was a native of Richmond County and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, William M. Orr. Surviving are nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 4 - 6 p.m., Tuesday, October 28, 2008, at Phillips Funeral Home in Star.
