Samuel Redding Kellam

Biscoe - Samuel Redding Kellam, 88, formerly of Cedar Creek Road, died Thursday, June 7, 2012, at Sandy Ridge Assisted Living in Candor. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, June 10, 2012, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Bruce Lax officiating. Interment will be in Biscoe Cemetery with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Mr. Kellam was born in Montgomery County to Charles E. and Hattie Hicks Kellam. He was a WW II veteran of the US Army, a member of Biscoe Presbyterian Church, and was a farmer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Burkhead Kellam and daughter, Ann. He is survived by nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM, Sunday, June 10, 2012, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.
