Biscoe - Shirley Ann Haywood Dorsett, 67, of 186 Hall Drive, died Wednesday, December 15, 2010, at Moses H Cone Memorial Hospital. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 18, 2010, at Long Hill Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Larry Beaver and Rev. Mark Moore officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. She was born in Montgomery County to Jonah and Mildred Irene Mauldin Haywood. She was a retired dietitian at Samarkand Manor. Surviving are her husband, Harvey Lee Dorsett, of the home; daughters, Amy (Tony) Glover of Troy, Karen (Danny) Bruce of Ether; sisters, Naomi Stutts of Ellerbe, Cozette Greene of Candor; brothers, James Haywood of Troy, Ernest Haywood of Troy; 3 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild. The family will receive friends from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM, Friday, December 17, 2010, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star and other times at the home of Tony and Amy Glover, 190 Loftin Street, Troy.
