Shirley Ann Freeman

Troy - Shirley Ann Freeman, age 77, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at her residence.

Mrs. Freeman was born in Montgomery County on September 14, 1941, to Cecil W. and Edith Inez Twitty Freeman. She was a retired hosiery mill employee and a member of New Birth Church of the Living God in Biscoe.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Clarence Freeman; sister, Janice Marie Freeman; and brother, Roger Freeman, Sr.

She is survived by one daughter, Susan Harris (Larry) of Haw River; sisters, Peggy Lynthacum (Bill) of Troy, and Bobbie Jean Haywood of Star; brothers, Jimmy Freeman of Morganton, and Darrell Freeman (Sara Von) of Troy; 5 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and great-nephew and caregiver, John Freeman.

The family will receive friends Friday, January 25, 2019, from 1:00 - 1:45 PM at Ether United Methodist Church.

The funeral will begin at 2:00 PM with Rev. Junior F. Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
