Solomon L. Parsons

Biscoe - Solomon Lankester (S.L.) Parsons , age 86, of Pine Street, died Sunday, April 10, 2011, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. A memorial service honoring the life of Mr. Parsons will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 16, at Bensalem Presbyterian Church in Eagle Springs. The interment ceremony will take place at Eagle Springs Cemetery immediately following the memorial. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Mr. Parsons is survived by his wife of 62 years, Doris Bost Parsons, his son, Daniel Parsons, and three grandchildren - Steve Hudson, Benjamin Parsons, and Stephanie Parsons. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sue Parsons Hudson, and siblings, J.D. Parsons, Larue Parsons Hare and Lorene Parsons Burrow. His sister, Eunice Parsons Brewer, currently resides at Autumn Care in Biscoe. Mr. Parsons, a WWII veteran, was discharged from the U.S. Army in 1945 following 10 months as a prisoner of war in Germany. Upon his return, he resumed his career at Springs Industries in Biscoe where he worked for 48 years.
