Stella Mae Saunders Morgan

Ether - Stella Mae Saunders Morgan, 97, died Monday, December 12, 2016, at Autumn Care of Biscoe.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Morgan was born in Montgomery County to Thomas Anderson and Mary Florence Williamson Saunders. She was a retired textile knitter. She will be remembered for her quilt making, her sense of humor, and her quick wit in everyday situations. She cherished and loved her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Astor Morgan and son, Neil Anderson "Andy" Morgan.

She is survived by her daughters, Alice M. Clemens (Jack) of Star, Jean M. Griggs of Rutherfordton; grandchildren, David Clemens (Ellen) of Raleigh, Tara Clemens of Apex, Hillary and Haley Griggs; great-grandchildren, Hannah and Zack.
