Sue Ann Long

Pilot Mountain- Sue Ann Long, age 82, of Pilot Mountain, passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2021, at The Pines at Davidson, in Davidson, NC. Mrs. Long was born in Montgomery County on September 19, 1938, to Henry Edward and Wilma Reece Britt Blalock. Mrs. Long is preceded in death by her elementary school sweetheart and husband of 51 years, Elwood Stephen “Woody” Long, and her son Elwood Stephen Long Jr. She is survived by her sons, Bert A. Long of St. Augustine, FL, and Daniel C. Long of Cornelius, NC; brothers, Buddy Blalock and Kent Britt; four grandchildren, Blake, Miranda, Garson and Reece. A private family funeral service will be held on Friday, August 13 at Biscoe Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association-Eastern North Carolina Chapter 5171 Glenwood Ave Suite 101 Raleigh, NC 27612.
