Swannie F. Grant Eagle Springs - Swannie Freeman Grant, age 68, of 429 Sings Creek Lane, died Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at Randolph Hospital. Funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2009, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ralph Voncannon officiating. She was a native of Moore County and was a retired clerk. Surviving are her daughters, Carol Hicks of Ramseur, Kathy Grant of Seagrove, sons, Craig Hicks of Eagle Springs, Kelly Grant of Aberdeen; sisters, Rebecca Davis of Star, Edna Stewart of Biscoe, Brenda Freeman of High Falls, Libby Garner of Carthage, Freida Upchurch of Robbins; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life, Montgomery County, 6000 Fairview Road, Suite 200, Charlotte, NC 28210.
