Theodore McCroskey

Star - Theodore "Ted" McCroskey, Jr., 73, of Owen Street, died Wednesday, December 17, 2014, at his residence. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 20, 2014, at Eastside Cemetery in Rockingham with the Rev. Mickey Briles officiating. Military honors will be provided by Seymour Johnson AFB Honor Guard. Mr. McCroskey was born in Richmond County to the late Theodore McCroskey, Sr., and Juanita Parker McCroskey. He was retired from Springs Inc. Aileen Plant in Biscoe. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. He is survived by his wife, Frances Davis McCroskey, of the home; daughter, Kathy Wolford and husband, retired Air Force Colonel Dean, of Arlington, Virginia; step-daughter, Jennie Shofe and husband, James, of Black Ankle; grandchildren, Bryan and Brittany Wolford; step-grandchildren, Janna Shofe, Jamie Shofe and wife, Sherry; step-great-grandchildren, Kathryn and T.J. Shofe; brother, Larry McCroskey and wife, Barbara, of Rockingham; sister, Frances Webb and husband, Paul, of Nashville, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Friday, December 19, 2014, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 20, 2014, at Eastside Cemetery in Rockingham with militiary honors.
