Theodore W. Singleton

Troy - Theodore W. "Teddy" Singleton, 71, of 183 Russell Road, died Sunday, April 17, 2011, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at the Singleton Family Cemetery. He was born in Montgomery County to Charlie Wesley and Levena Russell Singleton. He served 20 years in the US Navy and continued his career working for 20 years in the Newport News Shipyard. His father predeceased him in death. He is survived by his son, Michael Singleton, of Dawson, Illinois; mother, Levena Russell Singleton, of Troy; sisters, Pat Cagle of Star, Judy Greene and husband, Anthony, of Troy; brother, Charles Singleton, of Troy; two granddaughters, Krystal and Andrea. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Tuesday, April 19, at Forks of Little River Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to FirstHealth Hospice Foundation, 150 Applecross Road, Pinehurst, NC 28374.
