Star - Thomas Alton Davis, 69, of 342 Mabe Road, died Thursday, August 29, 2013, at FirstHealth Moore Regional. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 31, 2013, at Leach Cemetery with the Rev. Clyde Allen officiating. He was born in Montgomery County to Jesse Martin Davis and Lela Mae Freeman Davis. He was a retired lumber mill employee. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Daniel Thomas Davis. He is survived by his daughter, Tabitha Rowell and husband, Ricky, of Robbins; son, Jacob Davis and wife, Crystal, of Star; sister, Lenda Trucks, of Biscoe; brothers, Dossie Davis, Martin Davis, and Barry Davis, all of Star; six grandchildren. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM, Saturday, August 31, 2013, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star and other times at the home of Lenda Trucks, 198 Martin Drive in Biscoe. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 31, 2013, at Leach Cemetery with the Rev. Clyde Allen officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM, Saturday, August 31, 2013, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.
