Valeria Dunn Greene

Star - Valeria Dunn Greene, age 93, passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2018, at Autumn Care Nursing & Rehabilitation in Biscoe.

Mrs. Greene was born in Montgomery County on July 31, 1925 to Bill and Fannie Williams Dunn. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and was retired from Russell Hosiery Mill with 40 plus years of employment.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harlee Greene; son, Richard Greene; and sister, Billie Dunn.

She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Smith and husband, J.C., of Star and Sandy McIntyre of Star; sister, Remell Dunn Maness, of Roanoke Rapids, NC; grandchildren, Kevin Smith, Christopher Horton, Kris Hernandez, Beverly Lassiter, Lisa Asbill, Emily Tew, and David McIntyre; and eight great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday, November 14, from 1:00 - 1:45 PM at New Hope Baptist Church.

The funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Gene Davis and Rev. Jamie Sink officiating. Interment will follow in Leach Cemetery.
