Vera May King Joyce

Star - Vera May King Joyce, age 75, passed away on Friday, March 12, 2021, at her residence. Vera was born in Randolph County on June 10,1945 to William Dewey King and Mary Elizabeth Kennedy. She was a retired hairdresser. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ronald, Donald, William Lloyd, and Vincen King and sister, Margaret Presnell Roberts. She is survived by her son, Wayne Joyce and wife, Donna of Star; sister, Brenda Cagle of Star and Bonnie Kivett and husband, Roger of Asheboro; brother, Earl Cagle of Seagrove; and four grandchildren, Gavin, Leah, Jenna, and Ada. Vera's body will lie in repose from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., Saturday, March 13, at Phillips Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 14, at Star Church IPHC Cemetery with the Rev. Chris Mabe officiating. Online condolences may be left at www.phillipsfh.com.
