Verna Dean Cole Caudill

Star - Verna Dean Cole Caudill, 73, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at her home with her family by her side after battling a long illness.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, April 30, 2017, at Center Cross Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Grant Hoffman officiating.

Visitation with the family will be held at the home.

Verna Dean was a native of Randolph County and was retired from the USPS. She attended Center Cross Baptist Church, where she was a member and organist.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and aunt. She enjoyed keeping her grandson, Rylan, before her illness. She will be truly missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Poe N. Caudill, Jr., sister, Rebecca Lawhorn, and parents, Elon and Effie Strider Cole.

She is survived by her daughter, Nicole Alvarez (Robert), of the home; sons, Allen Caudill (Lora) of Star, Norris Caudill of Miami, Florida; 9 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
