William Richard Blumke

Asheboro - William Richard "Bill" Blumke, 84, formerly of Meredith Country Road, died Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Randolph Health and Rehabilitation Center. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Blumke was born in Lynchburg, Virginia to William and Della Morman Blumke. He was a retired truck driver for Fruehauf Trailer Manufacturing. He was predeceased by his sisters, Doris, Kathleen, and Marie. Surviving are his wife, Lucille Bowman Blumke of Asheboro; sons, William R. Blumke, III of Greensboro, Eddie Blumke of Indiana, Danny Blumke of Iowa; daughter, Linda Blumke Hutson of Asheboro; sister, Helen Blumke Bell; 19 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel.
