William Saunders

William "Bill" Luther Saunders, 85, of 163 Chandlers Ferry Rd., Hartwell, GA died Saturday, June 26, 2010, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Lamb officiating. Interment will follow in White Oak Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. He was born in Montgomery County to the late Luther Thomas and Mollie Mitchell Saunders. He was a retired truck driver. He was predeceased by his son, Phillip Grey Saunders. Surviving are his wife, Lucille Mabe Saunders, of the home; sons, Van Saunders and wife, Vicki, of Hartwell, GA, Terry Michael Saunders and wife, Kathy, of Asheboro; daughters, Linda Joyce Davis and husband, Lee, of Hartwell, GA, Pamela Johnson and husband, Gary, of Monroe; brother, Jack Saunders of Leland; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
