Asheboro - Willis Edward Pritchard, 83, of 220 Roosevelt Road, died Monday, May 24, 2010, at Randolph Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, May 27, 2010, at Big Oak Christian Church with the Rev. Brian Clark and the Rev. Glenn Hancock officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with military honors provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
Mr. Pritchard was born in Randolph County to Elihue Ebra and Delitha Monroe Pritchard. He was self-employed and was a US Army veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his brother, J. E. Pritchard and granddaughter, Kaci Cristin Pritchard.
Surviving are his sons, Lawrence E. Pritchard of Eagle Springs, Bruce Pritchard of West End, Gary Pritchard of Biscoe; brother, Rudolph Pritchard, of Asheboro; sisters, Mary Faye Shannon of Eagle Springs, Yvonne Caldwell of Biscoe; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2010, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.
