Willis Attlee Strider

Willis Attlee Strider, age 83, of Star, passed away on July 5, 2024, at his residence.

Mr. Strider was born in Montgomery County on December 25, 1940, to Nathan and Della Sheffield Strider. Willis dedicated his career to being an electrician before retiring.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Lee Engle and sister Mary Chunn and half brother Earl Sheffield. 

He is survived by his wife Vickie White Strider of the home; daughters Lisa Rush (Shawn) of Asheboro; Teresa Chunn AbouTaleb (Khaled); Denise Saunders (Roger) and Mary Beth Krob (JD), granddaughter Brianna Price, great grandson Roman. 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at Phillips Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 pm.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday July 10, 2024, a Mt Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery at 10:00 am with Rev. Brian Faircloth officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to FirstHealth Hospice Foundation 150 Applecross Road, Pinehurst, NC 28374.
