Star - Annie Lee Mabe McDaniel, age 86, died Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at Sandy Ridge Assisted Living in Candor. Mrs. McDaniel was born in Moore County on June 14, 1934 to Banner and Annie Florence Mabe Mabe. She was retired from Clayson Knitting Company, Inc. and was a member of Star Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Lee McDaniel and brothers, O'Jay, Harles, Bryant, and Ray Mabe. She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Wallace and husband, Perry of Star and Melissa Jones and husband, Bobby, of Ether; sister, Sue Mason of Aberdeen; and grandson, Pierce Wallace of Star. Her body will lie in state from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m., Thursday, September 10, and from 8:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., Friday September 11, at Phillips Funeral Home. A graveside service will begin at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 11, at White Oak Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Kim Stamey offficating.
