Doris Lee Saunders Williams, age 59, of 415 Sugar Loaf Road, Troy, died Wednesday, November 25, 2009, at Carolinas Medical Center NorthEast in Concord. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 28, 2009, at Macedonia UMC in the Abner Community with the Rev. Ron Scott officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. She was born in Montgomery County to the late Hayes and Channie Mae Cagle Saunders. She worked in the Payroll Department at Clayson's Knitting Inc. for 29 years. Surviving are: Husband Randy Williams of the home Daughter: Allison McRae Grady and husband, Evan, of Troy Five Sisters: Nancy Cagle of Star Ruby Epps of Star Mary Harris of Candor Judy Saunders of Troy Linda Maness of Troy Grandchildren: Lilly Faith Grady Landon Hayes Grady Liam Charles Grady The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 27, 2009, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star and other times at the home.
