George Robert Britt

George Robert Britt, age 89, of 846 Cabin Creek Road, Biscoe, died Saturday, December 26, 2009 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital. A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 30, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don McCaskill officiating. Mr. Britt was born in Montgomery County to Matthew Franklin and Mattie Davis Britt. He was retired from Springs Mills Alliene Plant and was a farmer. He was predeceased by his wife, Irene Dunn Britt. Surviving are: One Daughter: Susan Bell and husband, Mark, of Apex, NC Two Sons: Harold Richard Britt and wife, Rosemary, of Marshville, NC Barry Britt and wife, Janet, of Seven Lakes, NC One Sister: Yvonne Britt Stroupe, of Dallas, NC 9 Grandchildren 3 Great Grandchildren The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM, December 30, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.
