Star - Dorothy Morris Loflin, 73, of 1250 Okeewemee Road, died Thursday, May 3, 2012, at her residence. Funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM, Saturday, May 5, 2012, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Clyde Allen officiating. Interment will be in Myrick Family Cemetery. She was born in Robeson County to Daniel Franklin and Alice Bailey Morris. She was a retired hosiery mill employee. She is survived by her husband, James W. "Jesse" Loflin, of the home; daughter, Debbie Haywood (Garry), of Mt. Gilead; sons, Jimmy Loflin (Peggy), of Star, Danny Loflin (Teresa), of Asheboro, Steven Loflin (Melisa), of Star; sisters, Viola Shofe (Grant), of Star, Myrtle Epps, of Franklin, Cathy Mannion (Chris), of Jackson Springs, 4 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild. The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM, Friday, May 4, 2012, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.
