Biscoe - Vance Shuping Caudill, 91, of Candor-Troy Road, died Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at NC State Veterans Home in Salisbury. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, October 2, 2015, at Candor Cemetery with the Rev. Don McCaskill, the Rev. Matthew Baker, and Earl Brock officiating with military honors provided the Randolph County Honor Guard. Mr. Caudill was born in Montgomery County on May 25, 1924 to R. L. and Annie Shuping Caudill. He was a World War II US Navy veteran, was a member of Macedonia Presbyterian Church, and was a 50 year member of Biscoe Masonic Lodge # 437 A.F. & A.M. He was a retired school teacher. His teaching career included Scotland and Montgomery County School Systems. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Michael E. Caudill; brothers, Tyrell, Poe, Ray, S. G., R. L., Jr., Woodrow, and Mitchell Caudill. He is survived by his wife, Jessie McCaskill Caudill, of the home; daughter, Debbie Caudill Allen, of Apex; son, Vance E. Caudill and wife, Karen Shutway Caudill, of Candor; sisters, Annie Mae Kern of Seagrove, Virginia Owens of Raleigh; brother, Baines Caudill, of Asheboro; grandchildren, Elisa Allen Dudek, Amanda Caudill Allen, Morgan Francis Caudill, Adrianne Nicole Caudill; and great-grandson, Henry Woodrow Dudek. No visitation is planned. Memorials may be made to Macedonia Presbyterian Church, PO Box 340, Candor, NC 27229. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, October 2, 2015, at Candor Cemetery with the Rev. Don McCaskill, the Rev. Matthew Baker, and Earl Brock officiating with military honors provided the Randolph County Honor Guard. No visitation is planned.
