George Van Williams

George Van Williams, 70, of Eagle Springs, died Saturday, November 7, 2015 at his residence. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, November 10, at Browns Chapel Christian Church Cemetery. Mr. Williams was born in Moore County to Archie Clarence and Cora Lee Sheffield Williams. He was a heavy equipment operator. Surviving are his wife, Helen Deaton Williams, of the home; son, Greg Van Williams (Amy Owens) of Eagle Springs; daughter, Tara Williams Lee (Mitchell) of Robbins; brother, Archie Williams (Jo Ann) of Star; sister, Lois Williams Simon (Eddie) of Greensboro; grandchildren, Taylor and Amanda Sheffield, and Joseph Lee. No visitation is planned.
