Billy Wayne Greene

Seagrove - Billy Wayne Greene, 62, died Thursday, February 4, 2016, at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 7, 2016, at Bethel Church of God with the Rev. Mike Greene and Rev. Larry May officiating. Interment will be in Biscoe Cemetery.

Mr. Greene was born in Richmond County to Ula Morris Greene and Emma Josephine Jenkins Greene Yarborough. He was a taxidermist.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bobby G. Greene and Leo P. Greene.

He is survived by his wife, Terri Honeycutt Greene, of the home; sons, Rev. Michael Greene of Norwood, James Greene of Robbins; daughters, Becky Renae Guthrie of Robbins, Carolyn Sue Greene of the home; step-father, Rev. Joseph Vance Yarborough of Hickory; brothers, Gerald L. Greene of Candor, Thurmond Greene of Rockingham, David Preston Chapel of Rockingham; sisters, Betty Greene Phillips of Siler City, Mary Elizabeth Voncannon of High Point, Leatha O'Neil of Rockingham, Colleen Greene Floyd of Rockingham; 10 grandchildren, Preston Scott Greene, Mattie Elizabeth Greene, Xander MaLoy Greene, Brandon Guthrie, Jordan Guthrie, Landon Wayne Greene, Levis Keith Greene, Jacy Leigh Noble, Lela Michelle Greene, and Kenna Rea Greene.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Saturday, February 6, 2016, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.
