Michael Lynn Parsons

Candor - Michael Lynn Parsons, age 60, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2018, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

Mr. Parsons was born in Richmond County on December 17, 1957 to David Harrison and Martha Louella (Nunn) Parsons. He was employed for 33 years with the NC Department of Transportation, was retired from the Candor Fire Department, and was a member of Biscoe Lodge # 437 AF & AM.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Hussey Parsons, of the home; two sons, Tim Parsons and wife, Angie, of Candor, and Kevin Parsons and wife, Jessica, of Troy; brother, Rockie Parsons, of High Point; and seven grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday, January 25, 2018, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held on Friday at 2:00 PM at Macedonia Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 3269 Candor-Troy Road, Biscoe with the Rev. Mike Green officiating. Masonic rites will be provided by Biscoe Lodge # 437.
