Billy Thomas Thompson

Biscoe - Billy Thomas Thompson, age 79, passed away Monday, June 1, 2020, at his residence. Mr. Thompson was born in Richmond County on October 20, 1940 to Tommy and Myrtle Clark Thompson. He was a vending machine repairman with Biscoe Coca Cola Bottling, retired from Charlotte Coca Cola Consolidated, Inc., and coordinated the Meals on Wheels in the Biscoe area. He was a veteran of the US Army, where he served during the Vietnam Conflict. His parents preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Lela Ann Greene Thompson, of the home; sons, Michael Thompson and girlfriend, Cathy of Troy and Jeffrey Thompson of the home; sister, Jean Thompson Greene of Hamlet; and grandson, Brandon Thompson of Mt. Gilead. Due to the COVID-19 crisis, a private graveside service will be held at Biscoe Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Bruce Lax officiating.
