Doris Greene Bowers

Candor - Doris Greene Bowers, age 72, passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Mrs. Bowers was born in Montgomery County on November 5, 1948, to Clarence and Carrie Greene. She worked at Montgomery County Schools as a lunchroom manager. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Clifton Wayne Davis. She is survived by her husband, Johnny Bowers; daughter, Bobbie Jo Bruton (Robert) of Candor; sisters, Mary Richardson (Jim) of Candor; Kathy Greene of Candor; Janet Powers (Tom) of Candor; Tammie Reynolds(Larry) of Candor. Grandchildren, Clifton Wilson (Courtney Sheffield); Joliegh Bruton (Jaylan), Jaden Bruton, Loulou Bruton; and 3 great grandchildren. Mrs. Bower's visitation will be Saturday June 12, 2021, from 6:00 to 8:00 at Phillips Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday June 13, 2021, at Sardis UMC with the Rev.
