Cynthia Dale Stephens

Cynthia Dale Stephens, age 69, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at McLeod Health in Cheraw, SC.

Mrs. Stephens was born in Mecklenburg County on March 3, 1952, to David Paul and Marcelle Hedrick Brown.  She was teacher and a bus driver for Montgomery County Schools for 30 years. She loved animals, fishing, flowers, and children.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband James Marvin Stephens.

She is survived by her companion Calvin Davis of the home; daughter, Penny Schulte-Austum (Thomas) of Troy; sons, David Stephens of Troy, Billy Stephens (Faye) of Biscoe; sisters, Cathee Walker of Calabash, Paulette Bogatay of Independence, VA, Linda Brown of Morven, and brother, Terry Alexander of Mooresville.  Grandchildren, Deanne Stephens, Hunter Stephens, Rusty Brown, Makaila Brown, and Gracie Schulte-Austum. Great grandchildren, Baylen Lee, Briella Williamson, Allie Stephens, Andie Stephens, and Averie Stephens.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 19 at 4:00 pm at Community Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Lowry officiating. Interment will be at the Biscoe Cemetery.
